The Annual Tshwane Dance Festival is about giving dance artists the platform to show case their dancing skills thereby promoting the arts and contributing to the local content development in South Africa.
The festival is a live production and its starts at 9am to 10:30am for registration and the stage acts or live production starts at 11am till late. Invitations calling all different dancers from the age of 5yrs until 25yrs.
The invitation is open to all dancers/ groups e.g. Traditional dance, Hip Hop dance, Contemporary dance, Sbujwa, Pantsula, Kwasa, Gumboots, Ballroom, Latin dance etc. The dancers will perform in groups, solos and duos. The artists/ dancers will be compensated. The event has grown now whereby it accommodates the singers and the Poetry people. We are expecting more than 400 performers and they range from 5yrs of age.
